A K-8 school in Denver, CO is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position from December 1, 2025, through May 29, 2026. This role offers a caseload of 35-40 students with a mix of mild/moderate and moderate/severe speech and language needs. The position is onsite and currently open to Certified SLPs holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), as well as Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates.
Key responsibilities include providing direct speech and language services to students, conducting assessments and evaluations, participating in IEP and 504 meetings, making referrals, and offering consultative support. The primary focus will be on delivering individualized therapy to students across K-8 grade levels.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC preferred) or relevant credentials for SLPA or CFY status
- Experience working with school-aged children in a K-12 setting
- Ability to manage a caseload between 35-40 students, addressing varying severity of disorders
- Familiarity with special education processes, including IEPs and 504 plans
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Current Colorado Department of Education (CDE) licensure or eligibility
Schedule and Hours:
- 37.5 to 40 hours per week, with part-time options considered
- Onsite work required
